This tutorial was written by me with Paint Shop Pro X, and any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidence and unintentional.

The tutorial was written with the presumption you have of a good knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

Supplies Needed:

Tube by Alex Prihodko, purchased at Pics For Design.

You must have a license to use this tube.

Let's Get Started!

Just a couple notes:

For all elements that you resize, sharpen with Unsharp Mask using the following settings:

Radius: 3
Strength: 30
Clipping: 3
Luminance: unchecked

Open a new image 650 x 650 and flood fill with white.

Create new layer.
Selections --> Select All, open Paper 6 and Paste into Selection.
Apply mask DBV Mask 80.  Merge group.

 See my tag for help with placement of the elements.

Open Grass 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 95%, sharpen.  Place near the bottom of the mask.

Open Grass Sprig, copy and paste as new layer, resize by 60%, sharpen.  Place in the middle, just off centre to the left.  Duplicate and mirror.
Again, copy and paste Grass Spring as a new layer, resize by 60%, sharpen.  Place to the left, slightly lower than the first sprig.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open Mushrooms 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%, sharpen.  Place to the bottom left (but not all the way to the left, not quite all the way to the left, leave some space).  Duplicate and mirror.
Again, copy and paste Mushrooms 1 as a new layer.  Resize by 40%, sharpen, and place to the bottom right.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open Flowers 43, copy and paste as new layer, and resize by 45%, sharpen.  Place to the bottom right.  Duplicate and mirror.

Open Scattered Dots, copy and paste as a new layer just above the mask layer.  Resize by 85%, sharpen.  Place near the top.

Open Sparkles 1, copy and paste as a new layer, above Scattered Dots, resize by 80%, sharpen.  Place to your liking (see my tag).

Open Sparkles 2, copy and paste as a new layer, above Sparkles 1, resize by 80%, sharpen.  Place to your liking (see my tag).

Open Owl, copy and paste as a new layer, above all layers.  Resize by 27%, sharpen and place to the bottom right.

Open Mushroom 2, copy and paste as a new layer.  Resize by 25%, sharpen, and place just to the left of the Owl.

Open Mushrooms 2, copy and paste as a new layer, above all layers.  Resize by 25%, sharpen, and place to the bottom left.

Open Lantern 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 30% and sharpen.  Place to the left of Mushrooms 2.

Open Jar 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 17% and sharpen.  Place in front of Mushrooms 2.

Open Frog, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 17% and sharpen.  Place in front of the Jar and Mushrooms 2.

Apply a Drop Shadow to all elements except your mask, Scattered Dots, Sparkles 1 and Sparkles 2, using the following settings:

Vertical: 3
Horizontal: 3
Opacity: 35
Blur: 4
Color: Black

Copy and paste your tube as the top layer.  Resize by 32% (or other, depending on the tube that you use), sharpen.  Move the tube layer below some of the layers, so it's placed behind some of the elements, to your liking.

Duplicate your tube layer, and apply a Gaussian blur with a radius of 5 to the duplicate tube layer.  Now select the original tube layer, hit Selections --> Select All, Selections --> Float, then Selections --> Invert.  Now select your duplicated tube layer, and hit Delete.  Go to Selections --> Select None.  To your duplicated tube layer change the Blend Mode to Soft Light.  Duplicate this layer, change the Blend Mode to Screen and reduce the Opacity to about 30%.  Merge these 3 layers, and apply a Drop Shadow (the same as above).

(Note: When you merge, make sure you merge the original tube layer and the first duplicated tube layer first, then merge the second duplicated tube layer last.)

Add your copyright.
Add your name.
Hide or delete the white background layer.
Save as png.
