Facebook Timeline Template 1

A friend asked me tonight if I liked making Facebook Timeline covers, because she wanted someone to make some covers. So I decided to oblige :)

I made this template first...

I don't make black and white tags very much so starting this tag was a bit daunting lol

But this kit by Dee of Dees'Sign Depot is so beautiful that the tag came together really quickly, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

It was made with Dee's gorgeous kit BreakAway available at Scrap-A-Licious and a beautiful tube by Zindy S.D. Nielsen availabe at Zindy Zone Shop.

Tutorial - Bubbles Forum Set

Bubbles Forum Set

This tutorial was written by me with Paint Shop Pro X, and any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidence and unintentional.
Please feel free to use my tutorials in any groups, but please link back to my blog, do not copy any portion of the tutorial or claim as your own.
The tutorial was written with the presumption you have of a good knowledge of Paint Shop Pro.

Supplies Needed:

Tube by Zlata M, purchased at Pics For Design.

You must have a license to use this tube.

Filters Needed:

Eye Candy 4000 - HSB Noise

DSB Flux - Bubbles

Xenofex 2 - Constellation

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Lokas Software - Aqua

Font: Pussycat

Let's Go:

Open a new image 650 x 250.

Flood fill your background with a foreground/background gradient using the following settings:

foreground: #09abf3

background: #85e0fb

style: linear

angle: 137

repeats: 31

Apply Eye Candy 4000 - HSB Noise with the following settings:

Apply DSB Flux - Bubbles with the following settings:

Go to Effects - Enhance.

Duplicate the background layer twice, and then label each layer background 1, 2 and 3.

With background layer 1 active, apply Xenofex 2 - Constellation with the following settings:

Apply Xenofex 2 - Constellation to background layers 2 and 3, but hit Random Seed for each of them.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize as desired, and place to the left.

Sharpen using Unsharp Mask if you've resized smaller.

Duplicate your tube, and apply a Gaussian blur with a radius of 5 to the duplicate.

Select your original tube layer, hit Selections - Select All, then Invert Selection.

Now go back to your duplicate tube layer, and hit delete.

Select None.

To your duplicate layer, apply Blend Mode Soft Light (or other blend mode that looks good if you use a different tube).

Go to Edit - Copy Merged, then paste as a new layer, on top of all other layers.

Apply AAA Frames - Foto Frame with the following settings:

Not hit Selections - Select All - Contract by 9, hit delete.

Create a new layer, above all other layers.

Flood fill with colour #004360.

Hit Selections - Select All - Contract by 1, hit delete.

Create a new layer.

Apply your name with a font of your choice.

I used Pussycat size 10, with anti-alias Smooth.

It doesn't matter what colours you use, as you're going to set your colour using Lokas Software. If you don't have Lokas Software, then use the same light aqua colour as in your gradient, or a colour that matches your tube.

So once you have your name created in a new layer, go to Lokas Software - Aqua, and apply with the following settings (using the same colours as in your gradient):

Duplicate your name layer.

On the original layer, add a drop shadow with the following settings: 3, 3, 50, 5, colour black.

To the duplicated name layer, apply a Gaussian blur of 2, and apply Blend Mode Overlay.

Add your copyright information.

Save.

Now let's animate:

Open Animation Shop (AS).

With your background layer 1 active, and background layer 2 and 3 hidden, hit Edit - Copy Merged.

Go to AS, Edit - Paste - As New Animation.

Go back to PSP, hide layer 1, activate layer 2, hit Edit - Copy Merged.

Back to AS, Edit - Paste - After Current Frame.

Go back to PSP, hide layer 2, activate layer 3, hit Edit - Copy Merged.

Back to AS, Edit - Paste - After Current Frame.

Save as gif.

Now let's make the avatar.

For the avatar, open a new image 150 x 150.

Repeat the above steps, but change the following settings at the appropriate points:

Use the same gradient but with repeats of 15.

For DSB Flux - Bubbles, change the Bubbles setting to 12.

For AAA Frames - Foto Frame, change the Foto Frame width to 7.

Once you have your Foto Frame layer, hit Selections - Select All - Contract by 7, then hit Delete.

All else is the same.

Animate the same as the main banner tag.

You're done!

Template 1

Well I finally made a template!

I'm really new to making templates, so this one is pretty simple, and not overly interesting lol

But I had an idea in mind today when I started to make a tag, and couldn't find a template to match what I wanted...so decided to make my own :)

And so, I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else would like to use it.
